I think it is very peculiar how some years it is much easier to fall into the holiday spirit than in others. Almost always, a life event will determine how I approach and deal with a season or event.
This year I am determined to have a more spiritual Christmas than I had last year. Many things have fallen by the wayside since a year ago, and since I put the decorations up early this year, I can feel the tide shifting. The true meaning prevails on all accounts. Family, friends, worship, and duty are the things that make me feel warm and fuzzy...and this year those things have made themselves blatantly obvious.
I sense great, awesome, and satisfying things ahead for this holiday and the coming year. Here is hoping that the same holds true for you.
